Alexander Zverev Reaches French Open Semis for Fourth Time

Zverev Continues Quest for Elusive Grand Slam Title

German tennis star Alexander Zverev has reached the semi-finals of the French Open for the fourth consecutive year, continuing his pursuit of an elusive first Grand Slam singles title.

Zverev defeated Danish teenager Holger Rune in the quarter-finals, overcoming a slow start to win in four sets. The victory marks the fourth time the 25-year-old German has reached the semi-finals at Roland Garros, having previously done so in 2018, 2020, and 2021.

Can Zverev Break Through for His First Major?

Zverev has yet to win a Grand Slam title, but he has been a consistent performer at the majors in recent years. He has reached the quarter-finals of the French Open four times, the semi-finals of the Australian Open twice, and the final of the US Open in 2020.

With his consistent play and experience on the big stage, Zverev will be looking to make a run for the title this year. He will face Spanish teenager Carlos Alcaraz in the semi-finals, a player who has been in impressive form this season and who is looking to win his first Grand Slam title as well.
