AEW Dynamite Preview: Swerve Strickland Defends AEW World Championship, MJF Returns
Wednesday Night's Dynamite to Feature Huge Title Match, Anticipated Return
All Elite Wrestling's flagship program, Dynamite, returns to TBS on Wednesday night with a can't-miss card featuring major title matches and the much-anticipated return of a top star.
In the main event, AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland will defend his title against Undisputed Kingdom's Roderick Strong. Strickland has been a dominant champion since winning the belt in March, but Strong is a formidable challenger with a long history of success in major promotions.
Also on the card, MJF will make his highly anticipated return to Dynamite. The former AEW World Champion has been absent from AEW programming since losing to Jon Moxley at Full Gear in November. It remains to be seen what MJF's intentions are, but his presence is sure to shake things up in AEW.
Other highlights of the card include a four-way match to determine Will Ospreay's opponent for June 12, featuring Orange Cassidy, Rey Fenix, Jay Lethal, and Wheeler Yuta. The Lucha Brothers, Best Friends, and Blackpool Combat Club will collide in a huge Triple Threat Tag Team match, and Samoa Joe, Swerve Strickland, and Brian Cage will team up to face Hangman Adam Page, Rob Van Dam, and Darby Allin.
