Barcelona stun PSG with dramatic late win

Andreas Christensen scores winner off the bench

Barca take control of Champions League quarter-final tie

Barcelona produced a stunning late comeback to beat Paris Saint-Germain 3-2 in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final on Tuesday night.

The French champions took the lead through Kylian Mbappe's early goal, but Barcelona hit back with goals from Ousmane Dembele and Pedri before half-time.

Mbappe equalized again in the second half, but Christensen came off the bench to score the winner in the 90th minute.

The result gives Barcelona a narrow advantage heading into the second leg at the Parc des Princes on March 8.

Barcelona started the game brightly and took the lead in the 22nd minute when Dembele fired home from close range after a cross from Jordi Alba.

PSG responded well and equalized just five minutes later when Mbappe ran onto a through ball from Lionel Messi and slotted home past Marc-Andre ter Stegen.

Barca regained the lead in the 37th minute when Pedri finished a fine move involving Gavi and Dembele.

Mbappe equalized again in the 64th minute with a stunning individual goal, but Christensen had the final say in the 90th minute when he headed home a cross from Raphinha.

The result was a major boost for Barcelona, who have been in poor form in recent weeks.

PSG, meanwhile, will be disappointed with the result, but they will still be confident of overturning the deficit in the second leg.
